ABOUT ME

After working for 20 years as an artist and illustrator;

I embarked on a second career in psychotherapy in 2009.

My own experience of healing my personal trauma history was pivotal in my decision to help others through psychodynamic therapy.
I hold a dual Masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy

and Clinical Art Therapy  from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

My training includes the highly regarded Maple Counseling Center and TheWright Institute of Los Angeles. I have worked in individual adult and child therapy as well as

group therapy, family therapy and assessment of psychological symptomology & disorder.
I have an additional specialty in complex and acute trauma from

the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies (LAISPS)

I am fully trained in Attachment Based EMDR by the Parnell Institute.

My work with children and adolescents includes both individual and group work at therapeutic schools, out patient programs and in-patient centers, as well as my own private practice.  I have counseled children and adolescents suffering from a variety of challenges including  Divorce, Depression & Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Severe Emotional Disturbance, academic problems, social deficits and addiction issues.
