After working for 20 years as an artist and illustrator; I embarked on a second career in psychotherapy in 2009.
My own experience of healing my personal trauma history was pivotal in my decision help others through psychodynamic therapy.
I hold a dual Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
My training includes the highly regarded Maple Counseling Center and Wright Institute of Los Angeles. I have worked in individual adult and child therapy as well as
group therapy, family therapy and assessment of psychological symptomology & disorder.
I have an additional specialty in complex and acute trauma from
the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies (LAISPS).
My work with children and adolescents includes both individual and group work at therapeutic schools, out patient programs and in-patient centers, as well as my own private practice. I have counseled children and adolescents suffering from a variety of challenges including Divorce, Depression & Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Severe Emotional Disturbance (SES), academic problems, social deficits and addiction issues.
I am licensed as an LMFT in both New York and California and hold a Creative Arts Therapy license in New York and a board certification from the National Art Therapy Credentials Board.
